Over the next couple days you were still a finicky eater. No greens. No squash. No carrots. You were only interested in your yogurt, pears, and your bottle of formula. You weren't showing any other signs of not feeling up to par, so Friday (12-17-13) we went to Charlotte for the day to shop with Aunt Squeaky. After going only to a few stores we stopped and ate lunch. You had started coughing a little earlier, but it had gotten so bad, you could hardly eat your lunch. We knew then you were getting sick.
Daddy called the doctor and made an appointment for later that afternoon. You slept fine on the way home, but about halfway home, you became uncomfortable. As soon as we arrived at the doctor's office, you were smiling, watching, and even trying to talk to the other kids in the sick waiting room. We saw Dr. Cope (not your usual doctor but he was great). He checked your ears and listed to you breathe. You put up a good fight and definitely showed him your feisty side. Thankfully, he said you just have a bad cold but never having been sick, we wanted to get you seen before the weekend. We took his advice and are "weathering the storm" but we hate to see you feel under the weather. You still aren't eating or sleeping much. But you definitely are receiving special attention from mommy and daddy. Thank goodness daddy is still on his holiday break! Hopefully you are on the mend...
