Carter's 1st Trip Out of SC, Attends Her 1st Wedding & Wears Her 1st Bow All In 1 Night!

Not only did Carter attend her first wedding this weekend, but it was in Augusta, Georgia! She has officially gone out of South Carolina now! This was our family photo before David and Kristin's wedding. (Notice Carter's closed mouth smile...never seen this before on camera!) It was the first time she wore a hair bow and miraculously it stayed in without any problem! (Nor did she touch it!) She was by far the cutest little girl there!!!
Carter and mommy. There is the smile we are used to seeing!

Prior to tonight we had agreed that one of us would stay with Carter outside of the sanctuary. Once we got there and saw so many babies, we figured maybe we would just sit on the back pew in case she got loud. We got there super early and took our seat. Grammy and Grandpa got a good seat closer to the front and took a picture of us sitting all the way in the back.
Our friend, Phillip even made it into our picture without us knowing! He is soo sneaky!
Good thing we got there early, Carter got to watch the guests be seated and it seemed like every person that walked down the isle she squealed to say hey. Change of plans. I got nervous and we decided it was best for her not to be present during the ceremony. Instead we went to the children's room and hung out with the groom's sister-in-law and nephew. When the wedding was over we were waiting for daddy and ready to head to the reception. Carter fell asleep on the way there so we carried her inside in her carrier. She slept through the loud music and when she woke up daddy held her for a few minutes until they came to find mommy.
The bride and groom are both Clemson graduates we all waved orange pom poms in the air as they were being introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Stokes. Carter wasn't sure what to think about all the orange in the air but she was curious when I let her see it up close.
Later our friend and Phillip's wife, Marie took Carter out on the dance floor for a few songs. They danced with one of Carter's distant cousins, Jackson and our good friend, Margaret Ann.
We all had fun as we watched everyone eat, drink, dance, and take photo booth pictures. At a little after 9, we packed up and made the trip home.
