Carter played, sang songs, pointed out things she saw, and ate her lunch on the way. It was an overcast, rainy day but we were ready to shop, including Carter, who kept saying "shop, shop, shop!" First we went to the outlets.
YaYa and mommy went in the first store while Gee and Carter went to potty. Somewhere along the way, Carter got a balloon on a stick! They also found a fountain. Carter had a blast "making wishes" and throwing pennies. (Don't think she grasp the concept of making a wish but she sure looked cute and had fun doing it!)
Carter was an awesome little shopper. As always, she made friends along the way. We were in JCrew and Carter said, "Hey, somebody." Next thing you know, two ladies are talking to us. One lady asks if Carter is 3 or 4. She looks at them with the straightest face and says "2!" Both ladies were surprised. Later on in the same store Carter saw them again and since she didn't know their names, she was waving and saying "Hey, somebody." Again! They thought she was the cutest thing.
We stopped to eat at one of Carter's favorites, Moe's.
Then we were off and headed to South Park mall. Carter rode around in her stroller as we shopped. Every little bit we would let her stretch and play in the people watching seats in the middle of the mall. At this point, she decided to pretend to rest. We had high hopes of her napping on the was to Charlotte but it didn't happen. Without a nap, she was doing great.
She seemed to have gotten her second wind and stayed awake until 9:45. When we got home a little after 10, she woke up said goodbye to YaYa and Gee, then was off to bed.
Daddy had Crawford asleep in his crib by the time we got home. The next morning, mommy was so excited to see Crawford. He gave big grins when mommy got him out of his crib. Carter gave him hugs and kisses when she saw him. He must have missed us while we were gone but it sounded like he and daddy had a fun having man-time together.
It was getting late, almost 7:30pm, and we started to head to the car. Carter changed into her jammies and she ate a little before we headed home.
