We were first told that you may be "tongue tied" in the hospital by the lactation consultant. After visiting your peditrician and another lactaction consultant, you were referred to an ENT to have be looked at. Sure enough, your frenulum (the band of tissue that connects the bottom of the tongue to the floor of the mouth) was too short and tight, causing the movement of your tongue to be restricted. The procedure was harder on mommy and daddy than we think it was on you. After getting your frenulum clipped, you sure we're calm and wide eyed! The procedure was quick and you did great. (This picture was taken at the checkout counter at the ENT.)
