First Time Rolling Over

We had just come in from being outside and Carter was hot. She needed her diaper changed so we put her on the changing pad and she was wiggling all over the place. She was throwing her right leg over her left and just a squirming. After she was changed, we let her stay on changing mat to see if she would try to roll over.

She had come so close several times before but never completely made it from her back to her tummy with her arms under her for support. We all stood and sat around her clapping and cheering her on. Lauren insisted on using one of her favorite musical toys to get her attention and make her arch her back and look behind her to roll over. Sure enough, Carter had turned her lower half completely over and now all she had to do was getting past her left arm. It took her a few seconds, but she did it! Carter had completely rolled to her left side and gone from her back to her tummy! Once she was up on her elbows she wasn't sure what to think, she just looked around.

At 16 weeks and 2 days old, we have a baby who can roll over!

This is a cute picture from earlier that day.
