Little man wanted to be held but mommy needed to pack. Good thing he was happy in his carrier so we could get somethings done. After daddy got home from work Wednesday afternoon, we were loaded and waiting to head down to Fripp Island. Carter was ready with her water bottle, Peppa the Pig and headphones on in the car.
We met Grammy and Grandpa at Publix in Beaufort and continued on to the island. Thinking that Carter and Crawford would nap in the car we skipped their usual afternoon nap --- between Crawford crying and chatty little Carter-Bug talking and singing the whole no one got a nap. So when we arrive at 7pm, everyone was tired and hungry. After eating sub sandwiches, All Carter wanted to do was find "her room." After checking out the three bedrooms, she said none of them had a crib for her. She was worried about where she was going to sleep. Once we told her we brought two pack-n-plays, one for her and one for Crawford, she was fine with it. Next she was on the hunt for the toys. She thinks that every house has toys in it. After touring and not finding any she was then worried again about not having anything to play with. We couldn't help but laugh! Good thing we brought some! We thought she would be overly excited to see the ocean but she was so tired she was pretty calm about it. We had a pretty view of the golf course and the ocean.
We went on a golf cart ride around the island after breakfast. Crawford tried out his new sunnies. Carter wanted to see the water. We saw a baby alligator while we were out. Carter said it was lost and looking for its mommy.

We just kinda hung out that morning and took early naps -trying to catch up on the lack of sleep from the day before. Crawford woke up first and got some playtime in with Grammy before sissy woke up.
Carter named this bronzed alligator "Allie." She thought this was the mommy alligator of the baby we found earlier. She loved riding and petting "Allie." Even when we were at home she would talk about waiting to go see "Allie."
As usual, we saw tons of deer on the island. This year they looked bigger and more healthier that before.

Every time we would walk up or down the stairs, Carter would say, "Why is Grandpa's hat there?" Needless to saw, it wasn't Grandpa's hat but she thought it was soooo funny!
We tried to keep Crawford on his schedule but he didn't want to miss much of the action. His gums look like he is getting closer to actually having some teeth break through.
Carter was all about playing check up like Doc McStuffins. She was Dr. Carter.
Crawford took it all in. He didn't want to nap so he played in his tent and was passed around. It was a beautiful day and not hardly another person on the beach. Nothing beats having the whole beach to yourself!
While babies and grandpa napped, daddy and Grammy went on a golf cart ride. Mommy stayed home and sat on the porch and enjoyed listening to the waves.
During Crawford's naps, Carter enjoyed having mommy and daddy to herself (and most of the time having the pool to ourselves too). The hardest thing about swimming for Carter is keeping her mouth closed and not swallowing water. She would rather be talking and swimming at the same time which doesn't work. (Mommy got the big camera out of bag and used it at the pool...picture overload!)
Little man chewed on Sophie the Giraffe a lot on this trip...those teeth are getting closer and closer to breaking through!
More riding on Allie! Fun to compare the two pictures of Carter 2013 vs 2015 and now with a little brother!
We had good weather other that the nightly thunderstorms. There was one night that we didn't get a storm and we went out for ice cream. Other than that, we stayed inside and played. Carter and Crawford enjoyed being read to.
More golf cart pictures and mommy daddy Carter time at the pool.
"Princess Carter" didn't want to leave the pool. But Crawford was happy to see us!
Of course we took some family pictures on the beach!
Sticker book time with daddy.
Carter didn't want to leave Fripp Island. But she was excited to get back home to all her toys!
Daddy went to work the next morning and Crawford and mommy got started on the laundry while Carter slept in. I'm glad someone was excited about all this laundry!!!
We had a great vacation with Grammy and Grandpa!
