Life As Of Now

Mommy and daddy had high hopes of getting some cute pictures this afternoon of the two of you. We can't believe how fast you both are growing. Time seems to be flying by! Carter is 2 years and 4 months and has recently decided she doesn't like to smile for the camera. This breaks mommy's heart! She would rather be running around and playing instead of giving a big smile but I guess that is typical for any two year old.
When it comes time to take pictures of Crawford, Carter usually has an opinion. Either she wants to be in the pictures with him (or just in between him and the camera) or actually being the sole subject of the picture. Becoming a big sister hasn't been too hard of a transition but like any toddler, there are times when she still prefers to be the center of attention.

This "Little Man" is growing and changing so fast. It is hard to believe he is almost 3 1/2 months old! He isn't as chill and laid back as Carter was but he is a good eater, sleeper and has the cutest grin!
Let's just saw Carter is too busy to want to hold Crawford. She hasn't wanted to hold him lately, she would rather be face to face with him or playing with him. She did attempt to hold him when mommy asked her too but the outcome was less than picture-perfect but more memorable than expected. When it comes to Crawford's drool, it totally freaks Carter out. She doesn't want it to touch her or "get her wet" (as she calls it) and she has to tell everyone around her that, "Tofford drew!" Crawford definitely recieved the best little brother award while we were taking these pictures!
Then she realized that he was "drew-ing" and her facial expressions tells it all.
And just like that, they are done with attempting to get a sibling picture.
 Daddy to the rescue!
Crawford was getting tired and Carter was hungry so we went inside. And then this happened, Carter covered Crawford up with a burp cloth and gently pushed him in the swing. She bent over and started talking to him and then leaned in and gave him a sweet hug.
Theses pictures don't even compete with the ones that we were trying to take of the two of them together outside. Carter really does love her little brother and it is so cute to watch them interact!
 Playtime before dinner.
Now during dinner time, Crawford sometimes sits with us while we eat. It won't be long until he's eating with us!
