We finally found a place to park and loaded up in the stroller. We were parked overlooking the intersection, where Carter enjoyed counting the cars, pointing out motorcycles and spoting one police car.
First, we walked down to the landing. There were lots of boats loading and unloading. Carter spotted lots of birds too.
Crawford's car seat carrier adapts to the stroller but since it was so warm, he got to ride in the stroller seat so he could get a breeze and a little more space to stretch out. He was good and snoozed most of the time.
A little bit later we walked to the dock where we waited on YaYa and papa. They were out in the boat fishing and came to the dock to meet us. I didn't tell Carter they were coming so when I saw their boat, I waved and Carter started waving too. Once they were close enough for her to see them, she yelled, "Papa boat!" Then "YaYa!" She was surprised to see them in the boat and in the water. (Carter has outgrown her life jacket from last year...we need to get her a bigger one. She couldn't go on a boat ride but thankfully she was okay with just watching.) She loved people watching and would get excited when she saw a dog on a boat. We said goodby to YaYa and Papa and headed back up to the dam. We walked for a little ways on the dam then turned around to head back to the car. We were hot and hungry and ready to go rest at GPa's.
