Two months?!?! Where did the time go? Oh wait, I know. Changing diapers, nursing you, singing to you, tummy time, getting you to sleep, and balancing our attention between you and your sister. It's a full time job but we wouldn't trade it for the world!
Today, Carter wanted to be in the pictures and get you "picture ready" by brushing your hair and telling you to say cheese. It is so cute to see her interact with you more and more as you are able to hold your head up and look at her. She sometimes treats you like you are her baby doll! She hasn't wanted to hold you as much as she used to but she now wants you to play with her and she shares her stuffed animals with you by putting them in your lap or sitting them next to you.
You are getting bigger that's for sure! You weighted 11 pounds 14.5 ounces (37% percentile), 22.75 inches long (37th percentile) and your head circumference was 39 cm (42% percentile). Your daddy at two months old weighted 12 pounds 5 ounces and was 23.25 inches long. Mommy and Carter took you to your well check-up this month since daddy had to work. Carter was so excited to be going to see the doctor! You were calm while you got weighed and all smiles while Dr. Smith checked you out. Carter is still fascinated by shots and she was looking forward to you getting your vaccines this time. You took the first shot without a whimper, the second one you started to fuss, and by the third one, there were tears. The nurse was very quick and Carter was very attentive. Carter kept telling you "No cry, shots." Once it was over and you were back in mommy's arms you were fine and calm again.
You are beginning to wear 3 months clothes and have already moved up to size 1 diapers. I can't tell about your feet yet...I just know that we have a time keeping socks on you! Your hair on the top of your head has definitely thinned out a bit but you may have some lighter hair starting to grow. You still have hair around your ears and the back of your head other than where you lay your head - that is a bald patch.
Seeing this cute little face and big blue eyes make waking up 1 and sometimes 2 times a night a little easier. You wake, we change your diaper, you nurse in the bed and are back to sleep within 20 minutes and then back to the crib you go. We definitely have not been as strict with you and your schedule like we were with Carter. You eat when you are hungry and sleep when you are sleepy. It seems like you are always hungry. You are a great nurser but when needed, you will easily chug anywhere from 2.5 to close to 3 ounces of breast milk (you don't get a bottle but maybe 2 times a week - if that). And if we are out and about you are pretty good in either the car or the stroller.
{Funny moment during pictures} Carter was talking to you while you were doing some tummy time and all of a sudden she threw the blanket over your head. You weren't a fan but she said she was just playing "boo" with you.You hands almost always in tight little fists or holding on to your clothes. Especially your left hand, it tends to be the one we have to work to get you to let go of your outfit to change you. (Notice those wrinkles in your onesie where you were tightly holding it.)
Your big blue eyes and lashes remind us of your sister's. Lots of times, especially when you are asleep mommy and daddy notice how much you both favor each other. You are usually content as long as you can see what is going on. you prefer to either be held over the shoulder or facing outward. Seems like you rarely ever want to be held 'like a baby' on your back. You love watching fans and your sissy run around. You have just started to coo and make little noises.
Your little smiles are becoming more frequent and they just melt our hearts!
