November 1st Snow Surprise!

The morning after Halloween, mommy and daddy woke up to mommy's cell phone receiving a bunch of text messages. They were pictures of our friends house's covered in snow! Mommy and daddy jumped up out of bed to see that this wasn't a joke and there was nearly 3 inches of snow on the ground. The forecasters never even mentioned snow! It was almost 8am and Carter hadn't made a peep yet. Staying up late and all the trick-or-treating must have really worn her out. Daddy went and rubbed Carter's back and she continued to sleep. A little while later he went back in and opened her curtains. She put Lamby over her face and rolled over. She did not want to get up. A little while later, daddy managed to get her up so that we could take her outside to see the snow falling before it turned to rain. She was amazed when she woke up to see everything covered in white outside.

Thankfully mommy was prepared and our little Halloween bunny had a snow suit, coat, mittens, hat and boots already waiting for her in her closet! She was so excited to go "outside play" in the "sun" (which is what she called the snow).
When we opened the door, she just stood there and watched the snow fall.
As soon as she made it outside she LOVED IT!
Since the power was out, we hung our clothes to dry and Carter had a bowl of "rice cereal" (Rice Krispies).
Although the snow was a pretty surprise, the snow was really wet and there were lots of puddles. Soon after coming inside, it went from big falling snow flakes to rain and strong winds. Glad we got out there while it was still pretty!
