Halloween 2014

This year, Carter dressed up as what she calls a "hop" also known as a bunny. We weren't sure if she was going to wear the ears but she did, and she even kept them on all night! Her favorite part of her costume was getting to wear mommy's makeup. She was so excited while we applied the black eyeliner as whiskers and pink blush for her bunny nose.
Mommy wore the pregnant skeleton shirt and daddy wore the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball T-shirt.
We walked in our 3rd annual neighborhood parade and ate dinner with our neighbors. Carter enjoyed watching all the kids and adults in costumes. Unlike last year, she never once got scared!
(In the group picture: Carter sat with friends on the bottom row, just left of the top of the mail box.)
After we ate, Nathan, Kari and Ryan came to go trick-or-treating with us. We borrowed daddy's old wagon from Grammy and Grandpa and the kids were able to ride when they got tired of walking. Even though we had practiced, Carter wouldn't say trick-or-treat but she did a great job saying "A ya!" (Her version of thank you.) When neighbors would let Carter choose her candy, she frequently chose the suckers and hard candies. While she enjoyed getting the candy, she didn't quite understand that it was meant to be eaten. (I'm sure next year she will fully understand!)

After we finished trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, we jumped in the car and went to visit a friend who lives in a neighborhood close by. We came back and went to The Moore's to play and have dessert. Although she was super tired, Carter got to stay up extra late. She had fun playing with the kids in the yard and didn't want to go home. Overall, we had a very fun-filled Halloween!
