Tummy Time in the Jeep

Mommy took the day off from work and we went shopping around town. We had everything packed including: the stroller, a day's supply of bottles and formula, a lunch for mommy, toys, clothes, lots of diapers, and our handy dandy floor mat. 

We were pulling out of the neighborhood at 10:30 and didn't get back home until a little after 6:00pm!

Carter is a great shopping buddy. She sat up in her big girl stroller and would smile at the other shoppers. After every couple of stores we would come back to the Jeep, change a diaper, take a stretch break and unload our bags. We were easily able to keep on her regular feeding schedule and she took her naps in her car seat carrier in the stroller. (One nap was even an hour and a half long, which is a long daytime nap for her!)

As you can probably tell from all the smiles in the pictures, her favorite thing to do was tummy time in the very back of the Jeep. We parked a little farther out in an empty area of the parking lot so we had plenty of space to ourselves. Carter would roll over on her belly and watch the cars drive by. Her favorite thing was to play peek-a-boo. I would get down low below the tailgate, pop up, and say "boo!" These were pictures of her reactions. I think this quickly became one of her favorite spots to play because it is not often that we can be at eye level when she is doing her tummy time.

Every once in a while a car would drive by close enough to see what she was doing in the back of the car. I bet they thought we were from out of town and were taking a day trip to do some shopping...little did they know we just lived 20 mins away!

We got so much accomplished and Carter was in a great mood all day! Carter is a the cutest little shopping buddy!
