Snow Flakes - Lamby's Birthday - Mommy's Check Up - Carter's Busted Lip

Of course when they call for snow, it doesn't snow...or it doesn't snow much at all. That was the case this morning. When Carter and I got up we went straight to the window to look out to the back yard. There was what looked to be like little snowflakes falling from the sky but we saw a teeny tiny bit of little pieces of ice accumulating the top of the pergola. Carter started singing, "Build a snowman..." When Carter sings "Do you want to build a snowman?" It sounds more like a statement rather than a question. I kept having to tell her there wasn't enough to build a snowman. Mommy couldn't help but laugh! (Excuse the bedhead, we went straight from the crib to the window and still in the sleep sack.) Side note: Carter told me that today was Lamby's birthday and we had to sign happy birthday to Lamby.
After breakfast and playtime, Carter was ready for bath time. Her new thing now is for me to play and style her hair with "shampoo bubbles." (Carter busted her bottom lip yesterday after falling in the kitchen.)
After bath time, Crawford woke up and we played, ate lunch and got ready to go to mommy's checkup. Crawford napped in the swing while we ate lunch. Carter loves this removable sticker book. She decorates each room of the house multiple times a day...needless to say it keeps her well entertained!
Carter was excited to go to the doctor to hear "heartbeat" (she doesn't say the.) She didn't say "baybee's heartbeat" like she used to. This lead to our conversation about how Crawford used to be in mommy's tummy and now he is out of mommy's tummy and here with us. The doctor wouldn't be checking any heartbeats today.

As we turned into the parking lot of the doctors office, Carter announced, "We're here!" Clearly she was ready excited. As we waited to be called back she watched cars, trucks and a few ambulances in the parking lot. Each time a nurse would open the door to call someone back, she would look at me and say, "We wait."
When we were called back a couple of the nurses came to say hi to Carter and to see Crawford. He was being a perfect angel, sleeping in his car seat. The nurses all agreed he looked just like Carter. Once we were shown to our room, Carter went straight to her "Big Sister Chair." While we waited for the doctor we talked about how this was the first time she has sat in the big sister chair since actually being a big sister now that Crawford was born.
Carter and I love Dr. Lambert. She is so nice and easy to talk to. After lots of laughs and a good check up, we were headed back to the elevator and then to the car.
We drove through the rain, got home and Carter took a nap while mommy and Crawford played and had tummy time.
Soon daddy was home, we ate dinner and had family time. Daddy got Carter dressed and ready for bed. We were all four snuggling in the bed as usual and Carter said, "Me ready for bed." Followed by her asking "Good night kisses." This is so unlike Carter to ask to go to bed; normally she tries to put off going to bed as long as possible and cries when we take her to the crib. It was pleasantly strange for mommy and daddy. Daddy walked back in the room from putting her to bed and said, "I think something is wrong with Carter, she never asks to go to bed!" We knew she was fine but we couldn't help but laugh!
