The weather was perfect for our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt and Carter patiently waited with the other kids and parents for the gate to open. She had her basket in tow and she was scoping out all the eggs that were waiting ahead. She walked by herself through the gate and got a couple of eggs before getting overwhelmed and spotting the Easter Bunny. After putting a total of two eggs in her basket, she wanted nothing else but to be held. It wasn't until after a few minutes, she able to sit and watch the other kids finish the hunt but even then she wasn't happy. We opened to her eggs together and had a few bites of watermelon then headed home for a much needed nap.
