Member's Night at the Zoo #2

Even though you didn't get a good afternoon nap, we packed up and went to zoo in hopes of still having some fun. When we first walked into the zoo they had a live goat for you to pet but you wanted to have nothing to do with it but just to look. We went to the barn and saw your favorite animals. Usually we go to the barn next to last and you are riding in your stroller by then but this time you wanted to be down and you were able to get much closer to all the animals. We got a good laugh when you started to "moooo" at the cow.
Mommy and daddy realized just how big you are getting. Although you were tired, you still wanted to walk with us holding our hand instead of riding in the stroller except for the couple times you actually tried to climb into the stroller yourself. All that walking would make you thirsty and you would ride and drink your water. It was so cute to watch you walk up to the exhibits and try your hardest to see on over the railing. Mommy and daddy got lots of laughs out of you standing on your tippy toes! Even though you weren't well rested you still enjoyed yourself...you just didn't show as many smiles as usual.
This had to be one of the funniest moments of the trip. As soon as Carter saw that the gorilla was asleep, she put her finger up to her mouth and said, "Shhhhhh!!!" to  us and the other people looking at him.
Carter was really excited to see the kangaroo exhibit. There wasn't much going on but you would think with all the expressions and talking about it with daddy, big things were happening inside!

Our "little-big girl" wanted to walk more so than ever on this trip to the zoo. She loved walking and holding on to our hands but eventually she got tired and was trying to climb into the stroller!
As usual, Carter LOVED the penguin exhibit!
At the end the carousal ride was a little more eventful than usual. As daddy put her on the gorilla, he noticed she had lost her shoe! Mommy had them hold the carousal while we looking for the lost pink Croc. Mommy ended up finding it in the stroller, but Carter this was the biggest smile of the whole night...riding the carousal barefoot!
